Bilmar Beach Resort - St. Pete

Image
With St. Pete and Clearwater so close it's no wonder we do so many beach weddings year-round. Through all the locations and all the great venues we have been to, the Bilmar Beach Resort is one of our favorites. There are so many reasons why we loving shooting here. One of them is Tara, the main coordinator for the resort. It is always such a pleasure to work with her and the other awesome coordinator Alyssa.  Both are fantastic wedding planners, they have all their bases covered and produce spectacular weddings time and time again.  The Bilmar penthouse suite makes for some fun pre-ceremony shots and has a really spectacular view overlooking the ceremony site. This way you can look out and see whats going on before we head out. Planning a beach wedding always comes with the risk of having beach-goes in the background. However, the Bilmar and our experience shooting at this venue makes this a non-issue. The expansive sand area makes maneuvering around the masses a

Dreamy Wedding Table Settings

Image
I don't know if it's just me, but one of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding venue is getting to take detail photos of the table settings. I love the plates, the flower arrangements, the glassware... everything about it! A table setting can set the theme for the venue. It can create a tone and just set the mood for the night. Here are a few of my favorite that we have gotten to capture! I love this shabby chic vibe with the mixed plates, lace and baby's breath flowers.  The baby blue makes this classy setting. I love how neat and simple it is. This setting is so boho! Love the pineapples as decor and the touches of gold. Table setting can be so personal and show off a bride and groom's personality and style. The settings can compliment a venue and really set off the space. Whatever your style, I think table settings offer a great opportunity to personalize your wedding day! Leave a comment telling about your style and your dream table setti

Beach Wedding at the Grand Plaza Hotel

Image
Florida was made for #beachweddings. With the vibrant blue water, plenty of sunshine and palm trees flowing in the breeze. Many brides and grooms love Florida beaches so much that they travel here to have a #destinationwedding. I think every bridal party should wear sunglasses! A few weekends ago we were at the lovely Grand Plaza Hotel on St. Pete Beach capturing a super sweet #beachwedding. The bride totally embraced the #tropicalvibes and incorporated palm leaves mixed with flowers which decorated their bamboo archway. The bride kept her decor on trend by having the flower girls carry signs with cute messages instead of the traditional flowers. The first girls sign said #toolatetorun and the second girls said #herecomesthebride. I love this idea- but I'm a very non-traditional person so it's fun for me to see how people mix it up. Leave a comment if you have any favorite non-traditional wedding idea you've seen people do. The Grand Plaza Hotel.
